This weekend’s inclement weather has led to a several event cancellations/reschedulings. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the fun that’s happening rain or shine and the new dates for those events that have been rescheduled.
STILL ON:
Cape May Wine Festival
Rescheduled for only Sunday, Oct. 13 from noon to 5 pm
Where: Cape May Terminal of the Cape May – Lewes Ferry, North Cape May
On Columbus Day weekend, the Garden State Wine Growers Association will sponsor the Cape May Wine Festival at the Cape May Terminal of the Cape May – Lewes Ferry, overlooking the Cape May Canal and Delaware Bay for the 7th consecutive year. Festival attendees can sample more than 300 award-winning wines from New Jersey, listen to live music, stroll through crafters and visit The Kids Zone which has activities geared for younger attendees. Tickets for each of the festivals are $25 a person at the gate. Advance tickets for all the wine festivals can be purchased only at the association web site for $20 a person. Discounted pricing is available for bus groups and group sales of 15 or more. Large groups and bus groups can call the Association “Wine Line” at (609) 588-0085 for more information.
The Zombie Mud Run at Morey’s Piers
Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9 am to 2 pm
Where: Morey’s Piers, Wildwood
Taking place along the beach and piers, the thrilling 5K obstacle race challenges runners to eat or be eaten as they hurdle obstacles including huge sand mounds, the ocean, slides and “quicksand.” Participants are invited to register as either a “Human,” with the mission to save the human race by escaping the living dead, or as a “Zombie,” who will “hunt” the “Human” runners adding an extra degree of challenge to the race.
To participate as a “Human” or “Zombie,” runners must be at least 14 years of age or older and pre-register at www.thezombiemudrun.com. The price of registration ranges from $35 to $105 depending on the running category and date of registry. Special student and military pricing is available for $55. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the ALS Greater Philadelphia Association and the Lunch With Lynch Program. Victorian Weekend

2013 Scramble “Fore” Scholarships Golf tournament
Rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 23
Where: Cape May National Golf Club, Cape May
Due to inclement weather, the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation has rescheduled the 2013 Scramble “Fore” Scholarships golf tournament for Oct. 23, at the Cape May National Golf Club. Golfers can still register a four-person team to participate in the event. Registrants will have an opportunity to win “The Chalfonte Hotel Experience,” which includes an overnight stay at The Chalfonte Hotel and dinner for two in the Magnolia Room, valued at nearly $500. The tournament will follow a scramble format, beginning with a shotgun-start at 11 a.m.
Avalon Seafood Festival
Rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2-3 from 10 am to 5 pm
Where: At 30th St. & the beach, Avalon
Due to the inclement weather forecast for this weekend, the Avalon Chamber of Commerce has decided to reschedule the annual Seafood Festival. Complete with pumpkins, hay bales and delicious seafood, the Avalon Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Seafood Festival on Nov. 2-3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be held at 30th Street and the beach in Avalon, and will feature crafts, gifts, live entertainment, children’s games and activities, and of course, the best seafood in the area.
West Cape May Lima Bean Festival
Rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 13
Where: Wilbraham Park – West Perry St., Cape May
This much anticipated and world famous event celebrates the agricultural roots of West Cape May and South Jersey. Held annually on the Sat. of Columbus Day weekend, the Lima Bean Festival features all things lima, such as lima bean soup, lima bean chili, lima bean cookies, lima bean empanadas, lima bean crepes, lima bean hummus and even lima bean ice cream! Sea Isle City’s Sea Isle City’s 2013 Italian Festival and Columbus Day Parade

Where: Along JFK Boulevard, Sea Isle City
Due to weather conditions, Sea Isle City’s 2013 Italian Festival and Columbus Day Parade on Oct. 12 has been POSTPONED until Saturday, Oct. 26. Sea Isle City’s 23rd Annual Columbus Day Parade and Italian Festival will take place on Oct. 12, sponsored by Mayor Leonard Desiderio and his family. Both events will celebrate Sea Isle’s rich Italian heritage while delighting people of all ages with live music and other entertainment.
