This week, we hit Two Mile Landing’s “Sneaky” Tiki Bar for a quick post-work martini. It was there that we encountered bartender Clayton and immediately realized we had found the perfect guy to crown “Bartender of the Week”. Clayton has only been a Two Mile employee since this past July, but navigates the tropical Tiki bar with ease and finesse. He’s been in the restaurant industry for eighteen years and counting and the transition to bartending came quite naturally to him. You could say the profession in his blood, as his family previously operated a tavern in Philadelphia.
But Clayton is actually originally from Boston, Massachusetts, and his coworkers love to point out his distinct accent. His favorite aspect of his Two Mile gig? “Definitely, the view,” he assures us. He recommends that Two Mile newcomers sample one of the bar’s “Crushes”, made with fresh squeezed fruit juice, soda, and flavored vodka. Proceed with caution…you can barely taste the alcohol’s kick. Clayton prefers to keep it clean and simple with his drink of choice – a Ketel One and soda. When he’s not impressing Two Mile guests, Clayton likes to go out with friends to other island hangouts. He’s also a major astrology buff and spends his leisure time studying the sky, stars, and beyond. Visit Clayton seven days a week from 3 pm and sample your fill of Two Mile’s twenty one beers and twelve wines on tap!
