On August 24th bring your family and mates out as the pirates invade the Village for Seafarers’ Weekend! The event will be held at the Historic Cold Spring Village all day. Watch exciting pirate fight shows from Valhalla’s Pirates. Take in exhibits and activities such as antique boats; duck decoy carving and much more.
Shop until you drop in Stone Harbor for the Merchants’ Day Sidewalk Sale on August 24th beginning at 9 am. Enjoy the sales all throughout the shopping district.
Cape May is known for its haunted history. If you enjoy paranormal activities, then you would love the Ghost 101 Investigation on August 24th beginning at 6:30 pm at the Emlen Physick Estate in Cape May. Join paranormal research team Ghost One for dinner at the Carriage House Cafe & Tearoom, followed by an investigation at the reputedly haunted Physick Estate.
Are you in the mood for some music? Then come out on August 24th at 8 pm to enjoy a Concert under the Stars featuring the FM Band. The event will be held at Excursion Park in Sea Isle City.
On August 25th beginning at 8 am, come enjoy the 6th Annual Sandy Paws 5k Race and 1 Mile Pooch Walk Race at the Stone Harbor beach. The 5K Race is for runners and walkers only. The 1 Mile Pooch Walk is for dogs and walkers and will be on the beach. No dogs are permitted in the 5K run. Trophies will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finisher overall and for the 1st place male and female finisher in each age group (five year increments) and for the 1st finisher male & female in the category Fire/EMS/Police. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place “Best Dressed” Pooch.
The Peter Max: The Master of “Pop” exhibition is an event that you do not want to miss. Beginning on August 29th at 10 am, come out to Ocean Galleries in Stone Harbor as the legendary Peter Max returns to a legion of fans bringing with him a collection of new original paintings, created especially for the show, along with the iconic imagery that has made him a world-renowned legend. The exhibition opens on Thursday, August 29th and runs through Sunday, September 8, with Peter Max at receptions signing purchased artwork from 7 PM until 10 PM on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st. Why not end the week with the award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company’s popular Tales of the Victorians as it returns for its twenty-fourth year?
