The B Street Band was formed in Bruce Springsteen’s home state, New Jersey, in May of 1980 by Will Forte and Bob Chipak. The band has performed from Maine to the Bahamas and has performed in front of over 3 million people.
Glenn Stuart, the lead singer, often gets told that he resembles Bruce Springsteen. He can also match Springsteen’s vocals with near perfection. If you have seen Bruce in concert, you may know that he jokes with the crowd. If you attend a B Street Band show, you will see that Glenn has his mannerisms down perfectly. They now play all of the Springsteen hits and favorites as well as a lot of dance music to get the crowd moving. Selections range from Billy Joel and 70’s Disco to Tom Petty and John Mellancamp. One of the most interesting things about this band is that their set list is completely spontaneous. They just look at the audience and start playing. The band has been together for so long that they just know what to play, and it’s different each show.
The B Street Band has opened for Bruce and the E-Street Band at the Philadelphia Spectrum. They have also performed at local fairs and festivals all throughout the North Eastern region. Over 30 years, the band has estimated that they have performed at well over 800 clubs, 200 colleges and have been through around 20 different states. They are considered to be one of the longest running tribute bands in the world.
Willie Forte does the vocals and keyboards, Steve “The Count” Lopresto plays bass and guitar, Steve Baranian does vocals and lead guitar, and Glenn Stuart does lead vocals, guitar and the Congas. Steve Pozzelanti “Poz” does drums and finally Steve Myers “The Phantom” plays the Saxophone and does some vocals.

Fans have actually gone as far as to the Bahamas on cruises to listen to the B Street Band perform. They have a great following with dedicated fans that really can’t get enough of their music.
The band has performed with several of the original E Street Band including Clarence Clemons the saxophonist, Vinnie “Mad Dog” Lopez and Max Weinberg. Also, if you are fans of Conan O’Brien and Howard Stern, it will interest you that the B Street Band has played on both of their shows. They have also performed for the inauguration of Governor Christie and on Wall Street.
They are available for private or corporate parties, nightclubs, weddings and they can travel all over the east coast. Playing all of Bruce’s hottest hits, this band promises you a night to remember. They are great for helping with fundraisers or charity. One of their main mottos is, “Support the Shore” which is a great motto to have, especially if you are vacationing here at the Jersey shore.
