SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City’s 2013 Baby Parade will delight spectators lining the resort’s oceanfront Promenade, 34th to 44th Street, on July 17, beginning at 6:30 p.m. (rain date: July 18). The parade will feature a small army of children, ranging from newborns to age 10, who will appear wearing costumes, riding on floats or strolling along in their “Sunday Best” attire.
In addition to a bevy of charming youngsters, fancy costumes and creative floats, the parade will also feature live music, the contestants from Sea Isle’s 2013 Little Miss and Jr. Miss Pageant, and many other participants from the surrounding community.
All parade participants must be registered by July 15, at 4:00 p.m. Judging will take place prior to the start of the parade in a variety of categories, including Most Attractive Boy and Girl (up to 11 months); Most Attractive Boy and Girl (age 1-2); Riding: Fancy, Comic and Original (decorative strollers, wagons, cars, small floats, etc.); Walking: Fancy, Comic or Original; and Floats. Prizes will be awarded to winners at the Promenade’s main viewing area at JFK Boulevard.
