Events this Week: November 6 – 13, 2024

We enter the typical lull between Halloween and Thanksgiving, but there’s still plenty to do this week. The weather is still beautiful at Belleplain, so check out one of their outdoor events. Don’t miss the Lower Township veteran’s parade, which features displays from the military- it’s one of the biggest of its kind in the state. Come ready for a beautiful morning hike, guided by a park employee. See Belleplain’s beautiful trail systems and learn about the plants and wildlife you see around you.    

Woodbine Puzzle Swap

Thursday, November 7 from 10 a.m. to noon

Woodbine Community Center at 812 Longfellow Street

On Thursday, November 7th, the Cape May County Library will host a jigsaw puzzle swap. This event happens once a month, rotating between the eight branches. Attendees are able to trade old puzzles for new ones from other community members. Please be sure that all jigsaw puzzle pieces are in the boxes before swapping them. 

Tabernacle United Methodist Christmas Bazaar

Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

702 Seashore Road, Erma
Beautiful handmade crafts and unique artisan gifts from your favorite vendors. Win a basket or gift certificate at the Holiday Raffle table (held by Atlantic Cheer Group) Lunch and baked goods by Troop 87 scouts. All spaces have been sold so the hall will be filled with vendors.

Veterans Weekend at Willow Creek Winery 

Saturday to Monday, November 9 – 11  

This event, co-hosted with the NJ Farmers Cooperative, will feature an open air local artisan marketplace to shop local as you start your holiday shopping. Food and drink specials will be running all weekend (while supplies last); active and retired military persons receive a 15% discount on food items with a valid ID. 

Cape May Presbyterian Church Fall Festival 

Saturday, November 9th from 9 a.m to 2 p.m 

500 Hughes Street, Cape May 

Raffles, Homemade Baked Goods, Jewelry, Christmas Ornaments, Attic Treasures and Soups & Refreshments at “June’s Cafe”! Featuring Local Non-profit organizations!  An opportunity to lend a hand, appreciate & learn about the various organizations. 

Lower Township Veterans Day Parade 

Saturday, November 9 at 11 a.m.  

The parade starts at the Villas Fire House and proceeds south on Bayshore Road to Township Hall. Please come out and show support to those who gave so much.    

Belleplain Dog Hike   

Sunday, November 10 at 10 a.m.   

Meet at the park office, 1 Henkinsifkin Road, Woodbine  

Meet Megan by 10 a.m. for a hike with her and her furry friends! This is the last dog hike until fall – wear tick spray! Come walk with your fellow dog lovers. Bring leashed dogs and be ready to pick up any refuse.
