This week is one of the busiest all month – lots of Halloween events, including the famous Cape May Halloween parade, the massive NJ Audubon Fall Festival, the Porsche car show in Ocean City, and more all hit the Cape this week.

NJ Audubon Fall Festival

Cape May Convention Hall
This massive birding festival is great for beginners and experienced birders alike. Come find new birding equipment, listen to great presentations about what makes Cape May one of the best birding spots in the world, and see live animal demonstrations. And more!

Ocean View Trails of Terror
Friday and Saturday, October 18 + 19, 25 + 26, from 7 to 10 p.m.
Come visit this haunted walk in the woods behind the Ocean View firehouse. Admission is a $10 donation to the Fire Company. There is a food truck on-site. A no-scare sensory friendly walk takes place from 4 to 6 p.m.! On Saturday, October 26, the trail converts to a “treat walk” with trick or treating opportunities and no scares!

Sea Isle City – Halloween Parade & Dance Party
Friday, October 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The parade steps off at 7 p.m. from 45th to 40th streets along Landis Avenue. Come to Surfside Park afterwards for a Halloween-themed dance party.

Campers are encouraged to decorate their campsites in “CCC and meisle” – Come Friday for a campfire and smores at campsite 114 at 6 p.m.! Saturday brings trick or treating at from 2 to 4 p.m. at campsites. Campsite decorating contest winners announced at 4 p.m. Saturday at 6 p.m. is a movie on the beach.

Belleplain State Forest – Witch’s Paddle
Saturday, October 19 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Come paddleboard in-costume at Belleplain State Forest for just a $5 fee. Bring your own paddleboard, kayak, whatever you want to cruise on.

Trunks/Vehicles are needed – sign up on website under Residents Tab -Lower Township will provide all candy for the event. Staging and set up will begin at 4:45 pm. Please have your vehicle and area ready by 5:30 p.m. Vehicles will NOT be permitted to be running during the event. All themes must be family friendly

It will be a day jam-packed with fall festivities including live music, a pie baking contest, pumpkin decorating for the kids, hayrides on the beach and more. Local stores will offer pop up shopping, and a surf competition on the beach. Businesses and organizations will decorate scarecrows to display at their store or building in town! John R. Elliott Hero Walk & Fun Run

Get there early, around 9 a.m., for same-day registration. The 1-mile run is at 10 a.m. and the walk is at 11 a.m. A commemorative HERO Campaign t-shirt will be given to the first 400 who register. The parade route begins at Perry Street and Carpenters Lane, proceeds down Carpenters Lane to Ocean Street, travels down Washington Street and ends at Cape May MAC located at 1048 Washington Street.
