Avalon Veterans Day Ceremony
Saturday, November 11 at 11 a.m.
21st Street and Dune Drive
The ceremony will include comments by Tom McCullough, Commander of American Legion Post #331 and by Avalon Mayor John McCorristin. The Angelus Community Singers will perform “The National Anthem” and “God Bless America”. The event includes a rifle salute, presentation of memorial wreaths, and a flag raising and flag presentation. The Invocation will be conducted by Father Bill Kelly, St. Brendan the Navigator Parish. The Benediction will be conducted by Rev. David Montanye, First United Methodist Church of Avalon.

Cape May County’s Veterans Day Ceremony
Saturday, November 11 at 2 p.m.
Cape May County Public Safety Training Center, 171 Crest Haven Road, Court House
Invited speakers include, Cape May County Commissioner Director Leonard Desiderio, Commissioner Jeffrey Pierson, Congressman Jeff Van Drew, Clinton Holloway, SFC, USA (Ret), Iraq/Afghanistan Veteran, and Captain Warren D. Judge, Commanding Officer, USCG TRACEN, Cape May. The public is invited to attend as the Cape May County Board of County Commissioners thanks those who have served.

Forgotten Warriors Ceremony
Saturday, November 11 at 11 a.m.
Vietnam Museum, Across from Naval Air Station Wildwood at the Airport
This ceremony will remember those who gave everything in service of their country. The Forgotten Warriors Vietnam Museum is open Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lower Township Veteran’s Ceremony and Tree Lighting
Recreation Center 2600 Bayshore Rd, Villas
Saturday, November 28 at 7 p.m.
The Program begins at the Recreation Center with speakers and entertainment followed by a candle lit procession to the front of the Municipal Building. A wreath will be placed at the Vietnam Memorial and the Lower Cape May Regional Choir will sing followed by the lighting of the Township Trees. The event concludes with refreshments in the Townhall Meeting Room

National Guard Veterans March
Sunday, November 12 at 10 a.m.
Starts at 6th Street and Boardwalk, Parking Lot
The New Jersey Army National Guard is hosting a ruck march to honor U.S. veterans. Bring nonperishable food donations as we march together. There is a $3 registration fee, check in from 9 to 9:45 a.m.

Osprey Point Veterans Day Service
Saturday, November 11 at 10 a.m.
Godfrey Memorial Park, 1731 Route 9, Seaville
Osprey Point residents, and guests, will join vocalist Jim Offner in the singing of the National Anthem and patriotic songs. The American Flag will be rededicated to honor and in the memory of William Swain, a veteran of the US Navy. The more than 50 veterans who are residents of Osprey Point will be recognized. Visitors and dignitaries will also be acknowledged. State Assemblyman Eric K. Simonson will be the guest speaker. 1st Vice Commander Bill Archer and members will represent the Tuckahoe American Legion Post 239. Boy Scout Troop 79 will present the Color Guard.
