The weekend kicks off at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 8 with a Dance Context “STRUT” on Olde New Jersey Avenue. Firemen’s Convention & Parade
Friday and Saturday, September 15 and 16
Wildwoods Convention Center parking lots
Firetrucks and fire apparatus from around the state will be displayed in the Wildwoods Convention Center parking lots. The Five Mile Beach Volunteer Firemen’s Association will also present an expo of fire equipment and vendors of fire-related products – often described as the largest exposition of its kind east of the Mississippi – at Fox Park across from the Wildwoods Convention Center. The Expo takes place on Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The festival will begin with a Seaside Vendor Craft Market along the oceanfront Promenade. Also, the popular Fall Family Festival Food Court will be open in front of Excursion Park, located at JFK Boulevard and Pleasure Avenue, where a tempting selection of local delicacies and traditional festival-fare will be on sale. Meanwhile, inside Excursion Park, festival-goers will enjoy live music and a variety of free family activities.

The festival is free to attend, and proceeds support the ongoing restoration of Cape May MAC historic sites, the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, the 1859 Cape May Lighthouse and the 1942 World War II Lookout Tower.
