Halloween Events are taking place all across Cape May County! Here’s our guide to all things Halloween, sorted in chronological order. The list will be updated as events are announced. Our Trick or Treat guide will release closer to Halloween.

The Dennis Township School District is hosting a Family Pumpkin Party. There will be vendors, crafts, games, a costume swap, a pumpkin decorating contest, and more! Join us for a night of not-so-scary family fun!

Creatures of the Night: Bats of NJ
Thursday, October 6 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Cape May Court House Library
The talk covers a general overview of bats (what they are, how they work, how diverse they are), a look at the bats we have here in NJ, how bats can be beneficial to humans, myths and misconceptions about bats, threats to bats, and what we can do to help combat those threats. This talk hopes to show attendees that bats are our friends (not something to fear).

Kid’s Halloween Dance Party

Cold Spring Village Pumpkin Festival
Saturday, October 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cold Spring Village, 733 Seashore Road
This fun, free event will take place on the grounds of Historic Cold Spring Village and is presented by the Lower Township Rotary Club. Guests are encouraged to donate non-perishable goods to the ‘Share the Harvest’ Food Drive.
Families can enjoy pumpkin painting and games throughout the day. A variety of crafters will sell their wares along the Village’s shell-paved lanes. Vendors will be selling hot dogs, funnel cake, and other snacks. Visit a haunted house at the Village Barn. Don’t miss the Children’s Halloween Parade at 11 a.m.

Ferry Park Fall Weekend
Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ferry Park
Enjoy food and drink specials at Exit Zero Ferry Station and Boat Drinks all weekend and fun fall activities like pumpkin ring toss and tic tac toe. We’ll also have face painting and live music!

Misty Meadows Oktoberfest

Join us for our second annual Oktoberfest at Misty Meadows Sheep Dairy Farm. Our fest will be unique and family friendly with hay rides and fire pits, live authentic German fest music, and lots of Ludlam Beer! Last year was a riot and tickets will be sure to sellout fast. Admission gets you a commemorative German beer mug and we’ll be pouring our Oktoberfest Marzen Lager and Mashing Pumpkins Pumpkin Ale!! We promise not to sell out of food this year!

Trunk or Treat for the kids and a separate one for the animals too!!! Stop by and enjoy music, games, raffles, animals, a Pet Halloween Costume Contest, light refreshments including popcorn from our popcorn machine, cotton candy, Halloween cookies, etc.. We are co-hosting with Steve Serwatka of NJ Nature, who will be bringing some of his own animals too!!
The pet Halloween costume contest is at 1 p.m. – all animals must be leashed!

Sea Isle Halloween Parade & Dance Party
Friday, October 21 at 7 p.m.
Parade Route: 44th & Landis to 39th & Landis / Dance Party: Excursion Park
The parade will feature live music, strolling entertainers, floats, local organizations and many well-costumed participants. The Halloween Awards Ceremony and Family Dance Party will take place at the Excursion Park Band Shell immediately after the parade. The dance party will keep your “spirits” high and delight families with seasonal music and popular dance favorites.

Drinks & Drag Queen Halloween Show

Wildwoods Convention Center
Join us for a hilarious, entertaining, and wicked good time at the Wildwoods Convention Center on October 21, 2022!! Full-scale Variety Drag Show with six of our favorite Drag Queens and Hosted by the fabulous Astala Vista. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in your favorite costume – Prizes will be awarded. Historic Cold Spring Village is offering a family-friendly haunted walk-thru for young and old alike. Proceeds benefit HCSV Foundation, a non-profit living history museum. $4.00 Admission fee for children and adults. The entrance to experience Ghoul Spring Village is from Seashore Road ONLY.
Olde Tyme Harvest Festival
Saturday, October 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House
Middle Township celebrates fall with one of its biggest festivals of the year. This fall-fest will have rides, vendors, food trucks, live music, and more.
Guests are encouraged to come in their best Halloween costumes, and a pumpkin decorating contest will be held.

The 3rd Annual Dennis Township Ale O’ Ween community festival will be taking place on Saturday, October 22nd featuring local breweries, food trucks, and live entertainment!

Humane Society’s “Howl-O-Ween” Parade
Saturday, October 22 from 3 to 4 p.m.
6th to 12th Street on the Ocean City Boardwalk
Contestants are encouraged to dress themselves and their pooch in zany, fun Halloween costumes in the spirit of the season. Registration begins at 2 p.m. at the Sports & Civic Center. The parade begins at 3 p.m. and the procession is from 6th to 12th Street on the Boardwalk. Vendor and Parade registration is now open at www.ocnj.us/DogDay.

Muscle Car Invasion and Trunk or Treat at the Zoo

This Modern Muscle Car Invasion is new for 2022 and inclues a Trunk or Treat. The event will will have center stage with modern muscle cars proudly parked on the main lawn area and decorated for Halloween. The best dressed cars will receive a Trophy!
There will be a trunk or treat, a kids costume contest and parade, an adult / group / club costume contest, and food on-site.

Cape May’s Annual Halloween Parade returns! The parade route begins at Perry Street and Carpenters Lane, proceeds down Carpenters Lane to Ocean Street, travels down Washington Street, and ends at the Emlen Physick Estate located at 1048 Washington Street.

Vehicle check-in is at 4:30 p.m. There will be music, magic, balloon twisting and more! Families are encouraged to bring their vehicles decorated for Halloween. Children will come in costume and visit each car where families will provide treats from the trunks of their cars. Registration is free and forms are available at 900 Central Avenue in North Wildwood or at City Hall. All vehicles participating in the event must be registered.

The Cape May County Park and Zoo’s annual “Boo at the Zoo” event returns! Sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Commissioners, this event is free and open to the public.
Visitors of all ages are invited to wear a costume to this fun family event, which includes activities for the kids, games, candy, entertainment, animals, inflatable obstacle course, pirate ship and more. A Costume Contest will start at 11 a.m., registration begins at 10 a.m. An awards presentation will follow the Halloween costume contest with exciting entertainment and our very own ambassador animals. No Rain Date.
