Enjoy Savings During Cape May’s 3rd Annual Theater Week

EastLynneTheaterCo

If one wishes to visit two Equity professional theaters in Cape May in one week, and save money, then the 3rd Annual Theater Week from Oct. 2 to 6 is just the ticket.

East Lynne Theater Company’s “Arsenic and Old Lace” was so popular during ELTC’s 2018 season, receiving excellent reviews in “The Wall Street Journal” and elsewhere, that the company brought it back. Under the direction of Gayle Stahlhuth, this madcap comedy by Joseph Kesselring, is about the Brewster sisters who populate their Brooklyn cellar with “acceptable” lodgers.

For Theater Week, ELTC is offering 50 tickets for each of four nights from October 2 to 5 at 8 p.m. for $25, plus a $1.50 service fee when purchasing with a credit card. Due to the show’s popularity, these tickets will be unavailable on performance nights, unless the patron had mentioned Theater Week when making the reservation. The $25 tickets may be purchased through the “Arsenic” page at eastlynnetheater.org, or by calling 609-884-5898 and mentioning Theater Week. General admission tickets are $35. The performance will take place at The First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, located at 500 Hughes Street in Cape May.

Theater Week at Cape May Stage presents Lauren Gunderson’s “The Taming,” under the direction of Marlena Lustik. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. at The Robert Shackleton Playhouse, located at 405 Lafayette Street in Cape May. In this raucous “power-play” inspired by Shakespeare’s “Shrew,” contestant Katherine has political aspirations to match her beauty pageant ambitions.

For Theater Week, Cape May Stage tickets are all $25 with a $2.50 service fee. For information and reservations, call 609-770-8311 or visit capemaystage.org.
