This week’s featured bartender is Emir Santos, who serves up Cape May’s finest orange crushes at Harry’s Bar and Grille on Beach Avenue!
Emir is originally from Maryland, but started his bartending career working at Philadelphia college bar Cavanaugh’s. After graduating from Drexel University, he continued to bartend and work in restaurants around Philly. Five years ago, a chef he worked with asked Emir to join him at a restaurant in Cape May, M’Ocean (now Iron Craft Pier House), so Emir decided to take the opportunity and move to Cape May to be closer to his girlfriend.
After working at M’Ocean and managing other restaurants in the area, Emir ultimately decided to go back to bartending because he wanted to enjoy himself if he was going to live down the shore. Emir has worked at Harry’s for the past three years and says he really enjoys his time there, especially working with the amazing staff and management team. If you find yourself in Stone Harbor, you’ll also find him behind the bar at The Reeds! When Emir isn’t working, you’ll find him in his front yard playing croquet with his girlfriend and her dad, who makes the croquet sets by hand, or gardening.
If you’re looking for breathtaking views, live entertainment, and great food, Harry’s has everything you want and more! Invite your friends to the rooftop deck, grab a drink from Emir, and take in the best ocean views at the Jersey Shore. The restaurant and bar are open seasonally for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so stop by and experience everything Harry’s has to offer!
