Ocean City once again will welcome the calmer season with its annual Quiet Festival. This year’s event will take place Nov. 4 at the Ocean City Community Center, 1735 Simpson Ave.
The Ocean City Free Public Library, Ocean City Historical Museum and Howard S. Stainton Senior Center each will be host to activities during the festival.
Activities include:
Visit the Ocean City Historical Museum – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Guests will take a trip back in time and explore the Ocean City Historical Museum with family-friendly guided tours. Kids will have the opportunity to make personalized puzzles of Ocean City landmarks and events.
Royalty Storytime with Miss OC, Junior Miss OC and Little Miss OC – 11:30 a.m.
Princes and princesses are invited to come to the Children’s Activity Room in the library in royal attire to listen to a story with the OC Queens. Guests will have a chance to make a crown craft.
Quiet Pet, Building Block & Stuffed Animal Competition – 1 p.m.
The traditional Quiet Pet Competition will take place at the Senor Center. This year, the event will also feature building block and stuffed animal displays. Prizes will be awarded. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m.
Bubble-Blowing Bonanza – 2:45 p.m.
Our quiet version of a fireworks finale, held at the Senior Center.
