This fall, Oktoberfest takes over Morey’s Piers with German-themed revelry, live entertainment, a kids “Rootbier Garten” activity area and much more. Wilhelm’s Bier Garten, the home of Oktoberfest, will serve ice-cold German draft beer along with local and domestic imports and wine. Visitors can feast on German fare aplenty. The kid’s zone with a “Rootbier Garten” will include a pumpkin and cookie decorating station. Times are 5 to 11 p.m. on Fridays; 12 to 11 p.m. on Saturdays; and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. This two-day event includes a 10 Mile, 5 Mile, 3.1 Mile and Kid’s Races. Athletes can complete in all three races over two days for runners seeking the ultimate experience. The Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market will be held at Byrne Plaza every Saturday morning from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. through Oct. 27. Lima Bean Festival

Come to the Lima Bean Festival, where this lovely and lowly legume gets to be the center of our 33rd celebration. Savor a huge variety of lima bean inspired foods including soups, chili, crepes, empanadas, stews, cupcakes, pies, cookies, muffins, hummus, salsa, sauces and hand-crafted sodas. There will be fresh lima beans for sale, some grown at one of the oldest farms in West Cape May. Local arts and crafts vendors will sell lima bean themed T-shirts, hats, bags, pottery and jewelry. Local musicians will be entertaining all day, and we will crown the King and Queen of the Lima Bean Festival at 3 p.m. Admission is free, open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 7. Monarch Migration Festival
