This week’s featured local mixologist comes to us from a new breed of beach bar – PigDog Beach Bar located off the beach behind Morey’s Mariner’s Pier. Meet our bartender of the week, Carlos!
About six years ago, Carlos traded in the coast of South Florida for the coast of South Jersey. Originally from Deerfield Beach, Carlos, along with his wife (who is from this area) and son, are now permanent residents of North Wildwood.
Carlos has been serving up cold ones from behind PigDog’s bar since its opening back in June. However, Carlos is no stranger to the world of mixology. Back in Deerfield Beach, Carlos served at the local Hilton Hotel and eventually worked his way up to bartender. He shared with us that he’s now been bartending “for a very long time…” with an added chuckle.
Carlos’ favorite part about his gig at PigDog is definitely the beautiful beach views. When Carlos isn’t working, his son Logan keeps him and his wife busy with the waterpark, amusements rides and sports.
