East Lynne Theater Company’s “Tales of the Victorians” returns for its 29th year! Take tea at a lovely venue, indulge in tantalizing treats and listen to stories read by ELTC performers for only $12. Children ages 12 and under are free.
The schedule is 4 p.m. on most Thursdays beginning on June 14 at Kaleidoscope, 506 Washington Street Mall. Stephanie Garrett and Lee O’Connor will be serving stories while this boutique serves the treats. On June 21, “Tales” is at The Mission Inn, 1117 New Jersey Ave., also with O’Connor and Garrett.
Next up, on a different day/time, is “Two Scoops and a Story” on Tuesday, June 26 at 3 p.m. Hosted by The Henry Sawyer Inn, 722 Columbia Ave., ice cream will be served while Gayle Stahlhuth reads a classic horror story. Adults are still $12; ages 12 and under are $6.
The rest of the schedule is back to Thursdays at 4 p.m., with ages 12 and under free. Two other popular “Tales” performers, Suzanne Longacre and Michele LaRue, are also scheduled to read.
Future locations are as follows: July 5: Twin Gables Inn, 731 Columbia Ave.; July 12 and 19: The Inn of Cape May, 7 Ocean St.; July 26: Chalfonte Hotel, 301 Howard St.; Aug. 2: Twin Gables Inn; and Aug. 9: Blue Rose Inn & Restaurant, 653 Washington St.
Meanwhile, on ELTC’s mainstage is the musical revue, “On the Sunny Side of the Street,” running through July 21.
