Second Annual Cape May Hops Festival Scheduled for June 24

CAPE MAY – Help kick off summer in Cape May with some blues, brews and BBQ during the Cape May Hops Festival, Saturday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This all-day outdoor family festival on the beautiful grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., will feature local breweries, live music on the outdoor stage and food vendors serving up some tasty BBQ favorites, plus a crafts and collectibles show and kids activities.

Bring your own chair or beach blanket and celebrate the start of summer in the cool shade or under the warm sun for a great afternoon of non-stop live musical performers.

The musical line-up is:
10 a.m. to noon BS Blues Band
Noon to 2 p.m. Bluebone
2 to 4 p.m. The BC Combo
4 to 6 p.m. The Bullets

The Cape May Hops Festival is presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) and will feature adult beverages including sangria, offerings from Sunset Liquors, and craft beers from regional brewers such as Cape May Brewery, Rio Grande, 7 Mile Brewery, Rio Grande, Ludlam Island Brewery, Ocean View, and Slack Tide Brewery, Clermont.

Delicious picnic and BBQ foods will be available for purchase, and include pork, ribs and chicken sandwiches from Joe Battle BBQ, West Cape May; sweet and savory crepes from Crespella Gourmet Creperie, Stone Harbor; bacon on a stick from Gaiss’ Market, Villas; and roast beef and roast pork sandwiches, cheesesteak egg rolls, hot dogs and more from Nick’s Roast Beef, Philadelphia, Pa.

The entire family will enjoy kid-friendly activities including lawn games, a bubble pond and more including acrobats from the Little Circus by Give & Take Jugglers, who will delight and entertain throughout the day.

Crafts vendors will offer gourmet and hand-crafted items for sale including jewelry, photography, plants, honey and more.

Help kick off summer! It’s free to attend with free parking and varying costs for food, beer and crafts vendors.
