The cast from another East Lynne Theater Company Student Workshop production, “Little Women.”
Applications are available for the award-winning East Lynne Theater Company’s 11th Annual Summer Student Workshop. For the last 10 years, students have performed a variety of shows in front of standing-room only audiences. This year, it’s “Robin Hood,” written by Gayle Stahlhuth and directed by Robert LeMaire, who also runs the workshop.
Robert has been working with children and young adults for over 21 years. During the 1990s he coordinated educational programs, including running the Junior Apprenticeship Program at Historic Cold Spring Village. A few years ago, he began directing for the Ocean City High School Drama Guild. Productions include “Footloose: The Musical,” “Arsenic and Old Lace” and “Spamalot.” Since 2001, he’s performed with ELTC in shows including “Ransom of Red Chief” and “Dracula.”
Production assistant Megan Beres, who is pursuing a degree in Technical Theater at Rider University, is assisting.
The workshop is for ages 9-16, and the times are 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the following days: June 20-23; June 27-June 30; and July 3. On Monday, July 3 at 8 p.m., students will perform “Robin Hood” in front of an audience, open to the public with free admission.
