A celebration of quiet things. Opening ceremonies on Thursday begin at 11 a.m. featuring the inspirational “Yawn Along” to the tune of “Beautiful Dreamer,” Quiet Kites, Maple Pod Drop, Paper Airplane Flying, the World’s only Wind Chimes Band, a Pin Drop, Bubbles Galore and more. Saturday from 9 a.m. till noon at the Ocean City Library, the Quiet Pet Challenge is set for mice, hamsters, turtles, rabbits, ferrets, birds and more. Call (609) 399-6111 for information. The weekend is jam-packed with documentaries, films, workshops, lectures and more! 4. Olde Fashioned Christmas Bazaar

5. Christmas Craft & Fine Art Festival
Saturday, Nov. 12 and Sunday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m.
Ocean City Civic Center, 6th St. off the Boardwalk, Ocean City
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., shop over 60 fine artists, crafters and photographers. Featured handcrafted items include everything from Christmas décor galore, ceramics, American Doll clothes, jewelry and reindeer to stained glass, candles, pet apparel and treats. Fine art and photography can be framed while you browse. Gourmet foods are yours for the tasting. Every offering is handmade in the USA by the seller in the booth. A $3 donation and booth rental fees benefit the Ocean City Food Cupboard and Atlantic City Rescue Mission. Parking is free at 6th St. and Atlantic Ave. For information, call (609) 365-2239.
