On Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, St. Peter’s United Methodist Church in Ocean City will host an Art Show and Organ Recital. John Bate, Director of Music at St. Peter’s, will present the organ recital with special guests Dan Skeldon and Susan Norbeck.
A beautiful art exhibit will be on display beginning at 3 p.m., then a special organ recital in the church sanctuary will begin at 4:30 p.m. Music will include the famous “Phantom of the Opera”, Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue” in D minor, Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” transcribed for the organ and accompanied with pictures on our big screen, and “Rex the King of Instruments”, with music and narration about the organ. In addition, pieces by the French composers Louis Couperin and Leon Boellmann will be featured.
St. Peter’s United Methodist Church is located at 8th St. and Central Ave. in Ocean City. A free-will offering will be taken. The church is handicapped accessible. For further information, please call (609) 399-2988.
