6. Coconut Bay Breeze from Harpoon Henry’s
Bursting with coconut flavor and a hint of pineapple, the Coconut Bay Breeze is made with coconut rum, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, a dark rum float, and orange slice and cherry garnishes. Just one sip of the Coconut Bay Breeze completes that vacation feeling! With waterfront views, ocean breezes, swaying palm trees and spectacular sunsets, you won’t forget about summer at Harpoon Henry’s.
7. Red Storm from Ice House Restaurant & Bar
For something different than the typical tropical cocktail you often find during summer at the Jersey Shore, try the Red Storm, made with Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum, lemon juice, simple syrup made from fresh raspberries and ginger beer. This unique combination creates a taste like no other, full of sweet, raspberry flavor, a hint of rum and a ginger taste that has a bite. The cocktail is slightly carbonated, giving it a classy bubble and a refreshing feel.
8. Blackberry Sangria from Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille
Just imagine taking a seat in beautiful Cape May and enjoying endless beach views, warm sunshine, a nice ocean breeze and the sound of waves crashing. What could make this scenario any better? A cool, fruity Blackberry Sangria in hand! To make Blackberry Sangria, Bartender April first took fresh blackberries and blackberry brandy and muddled the two. She then added ice, red wine and a splash of cranberry juice, gave it a little shake and topped it off with two blackberry garnishes. The result: a sweet yet subtly tart mixture with a bold wine flavor.
9. Grapefruit Crush from On The Rocks Dockside Grill
The Orange Crush is no stranger to Cape May County, but the Grapefruit Crush puts a twist on this classic. The Grapefruit Crush is freshly made right before your very eyes. Bartender Michael served it up for us by first squeezing three grapefruit halves through a fruit juicer, then adding Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka, Triple Sec and a splash of Sprite to the juice. The result was a sweet surprise, with just the right amount of tart and tangy flavor. Fruity and fresh, the Grapefruit Crush is full of small grapefruit pieces so you know it REALLY is fresh! This simple concoction is perfect for sipping while overlooking the waters where the Cape May Canal and Delaware Bay meet, a vision of beautiful simplicity.
10. Watermelon Sparkler from Water Star Grille
Succulent and sweet, the watermelon is a delicious summer staple that you can enjoy in a whole new way with the Watermelon Sparkler. This crisp and cool cocktail is made with Prairie Cucumber Vodka, watermelon purée, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and club soda. Appropriately, it’s garnished with a cucumber slice and a piece of watermelon, ready for you to indulge in its refreshing flavors. Although a pale pink color dominates the mixture, the cucumber flavor is evident, and the taste of watermelon shines through to create a light, natural sweetness.
