Sea Isle City’s 27th Annual Fall Family Festival is September 17 & 18

SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City’s Division of Tourism will host the resort’s 27th Annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18. The popular two-day event will feature a variety of free amusement rides, a huge vendors market, a food court, live music and more.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the festival’s Seaside Market will take place along Sea Isle’s oceanfront Promenade, where 350 craft and specialty vendors will offer an array of merchandise ranging from toys, jewelry and fishing gear to home goods, artwork and fashion apparel.

Meanwhile at Excursion Park, located where JFK Boulevard meets the Promenade, families will enjoy free amusement rides, face painters, a photo booth, moon bounce and other entertainment from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, The Ringtones Band will perform at the Excursion Park Band Shell from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

When festival-goers get hungry on Saturday, they can enjoy a variety of options at the Fall Festival Food Court along JFK Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring 15 food vendors.

On Saturday night at Excursion Park from 6 to 9 p.m., don’t miss the Fall Festival Dance Party, which will include popular dance songs that will delight young and old alike. The festival’s amusement rides will also be open on Saturday evening for a small fee ($1 ride tickets or $12 wristbands).

On Sunday, September 18, Fall Family Festival will continue with the annual Gerard A. Desiderio Antique Auto Show along the Promenade (north of JFK Boulevard) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The auto show will feature scores of muscle cars, sedans, trucks and other classic vehicles.

Also on Sunday, festival-goers can enjoy live music by the Snake Brothers Band on the Promenade at JFK Boulevard between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. The City will also offer free Guided Historical Trolley Tours on Sunday, which will begin at Excursion Park every half-hour between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The tours will be led by members of the Sea Isle City Historical Society, who will point-out landmarks and explain how the town has grown during the past century.

At 12 noon on Sunday, the Sea Isle City Environmental Commission will distribute their 2016 Beautification Awards to local property owners who have maintained or improved the appearance of their home or business.

At 1 p.m. on Sunday, Mayor Leonard Desiderio will give trophies to the winners of the festival’s Antique Auto Show during a brief award ceremony on the Promenade at JFK Boulevard. Afterwards, the vehicles featured in the auto show will parade through town, honking their vintage horns and delighting spectators between JFK Boulevard and Townsend Inlet on Pleasure and Landis Avenues.
