Celebrating 40 years with same owner/chef, John Klug .
Ride your bike, take the tram, or go for a beautiful morning walk, but however you get there, end up at POMPEO’S for a BREAKFAST that will start your day out right.
Freshly prepared fruit cups and strawberries and cream are a great beginning.
Bulging omelets with garden fresh vegetables and Pennsylvania Dutch meat could become your favorite. (Chef John continues to simmer his famous ZESTY MARINARA to top his ITALIAN and POMPEO’S SPECIAL omelets)
Enjoy your buttermilk pancakes, custardy French toast or crispy Belgian waffle with fruit, Breyers ice cream and whipped cream; or if you prefer with POMPEO’S homemade HOT SYRUP and BUTTER SAUCE (or have both).
The Maxwell House coffee is “Good to the Last Drop” and is always a bottomless cup.
“Steak and Eggs”? Sure, it’s a beautiful 6 oz. filet mignon with farm fresh eggs and skillet-tossed, sliced home-fried potatoes.
The friendly staff focuses on YOU; bring your stroller in, ask for your kids’ food a.s.a.p. if you wish, but the crayons or little supply of Cheerios will probably keep them happy and service is quick.
The little tykes who visited when Pompeo’s opened in 1978 are now stopping in with their children and (yikes) grandchildren!
Old friends or new, come celebrate the 40th season with John and Rhonda on the Boardwalk near the “Arch of Happiness” between 16th and 17th Avenues. Limited parking on 17th Avenue behind the building.
