Sea Isle City’s Annual Fall Family Festival is Sept. 15-16
Sea Isle City’s Division of Tourism will host the resort’s 29th Annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Sunday, Sept. 16. The popular two-day event will feature a variety of free family activities, free amusement rides, a huge vendors market, a food court, live music and other activities.
On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the festival’s Seaside Market will take place along Sea Isle’s oceanfront Promenade, where over 300 craft and specialty vendors will sell a variety of merchandise ranging from toys, jewelry and home goods to artwork, accessories and fashion apparel.
Meanwhile at Excursion Park, families will enjoy free amusement rides, face painters, a photo booth, an “Art Bar” for kids and other activities from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – plus The Goody Blues Band will provide live music at the Excursion Park Band Shell from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also, when festival-goers get hungry on Saturday, they can visit the event’s Food Court along JFK Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Jitney service will be available on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. There will also be free parking throughout Sea Isle City during the event.
On Sunday, Sept. 16, Fall Family Festival will continue with the annual Gerard A. Desiderio Antique Auto Show along the Promenade (north of JFK Boulevard) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The auto show will include scores of vintage sports cars, sedans, trucks and other classic vehicles.
Also on Sunday, festival-goers can enjoy live music by the Snake Brothers Band on the Promenade at JFK Boulevard between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Additionally, there will be free Guided Historical Trolley Tours on Sunday, which begin at Excursion Park every half hour from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The trolley tours will be led by volunteers from the Sea Isle City Historical Society, who will point-out landmarks and explain how the town has grown over the years.
At 12 noon on Sunday on the Promenade at JFK Boulevard, the Sea Isle City Environmental Commission will distribute their 2018 Beautification Awards to local property owners who have maintained or improved the appearance of their homes or businesses.
At 1 p.m. on Sunday, Mayor Leonard Desiderio will distribute trophies to the winners of the Antique Auto Show during a brief award ceremony on the Promenade at JFK Boulevard. Afterward, the event’s vehicles will parade through town, honking their vintage horns and delighting spectators between JFK Boulevard and Townsends Inlet on Pleasure and Landis Avenues.
