Fireside Chats Continue at Cold Spring Brewery

Event Date:
02/22/2018

Back by popular demand, Fireside Chats continue at Cold Spring Brewery! If you’re thirsty for history, come on in for good beer for a great cause! Gather round the fireplace at Cold Spring Brewery for this free lecture series with Historic Cold Spring Village’s own Deputy Director Jim Stephens.

On Feb. 22 from 4 to 5 p.m., the topic is “Extraordinary Women of New Jersey,” a discussion of women who have been outstanding in their fields. These fine ladies are from, and/or associated with, New Jersey. Then, on March 1, we round up the winter season with part two of “New Jersey and Booze: Perfect Together,” a continuation of our examination of alcohol and its influence on our state and nation from the mid-19th century through Prohibition. What better place to have a lecture on booze than in the cozy and inviting Cold Spring Brewery tasting room?

Historic Cold Spring Village is a nonprofit, open-air living history museum that portrays the daily life of a rural South Jersey community of the Early American period. It features 27 restored historic structures on a 30-acre site. Admission during the season is $14 for adults and $12 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 are admitted free. Unlimited free admission is available with Village membership. For more information on events, membership, volunteering or booking private affairs, call (609) 898-2300 or visit www.hcsv.org.
